1.1 This privacy policy applies to all companies within the CHOOKS fresh and tasty group of entities (“CHOOKS Group”), which includes Chooks Fresh & Tasty Pty Ltd, CHOOKS fresh & tasty (Franchising) Pty Ltd and CFT Group Marketing Fund Pty Ltd and their associated and related bodies corporate. A reference to “CHOOKS” or “we” in this privacy policy is a reference to each of the CHOOKS Group entities.

2. Types of information that we collect and how it is used
2.1 The type of personal information that we collect from you will depend on how you use our website(s) and the reason the information is collected.
2.2 CHOOKS collects personal information, such as your name, gender, date of birth, e-mail address, telephone number and postcode, when voluntarily submitted by you to CHOOKS.
2.3 CHOOKS may collect and use personal information when processing applications for new franchises, or for maintaining relations with existing franchisees.
2.4 CHOOKS may collect and use personal information in order to operate the CHOOKS Club and provide to its members with product information, promotional material, marketing materials, electronic newsletters and advise its members of CHOOKS’ products, competitions or events which may be of interest.
2.5 CHOOKS may collect and use personal information when running any competition.
2.6 When a product is purchased via the online ordering system, personal information may be requested (such as name and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number and expiration date). CHOOKS uses this information to provide services or goods to you.
2.7 From time-to-time, CHOOKS may also contact you to conduct research surveys. Participation in these surveys is voluntary and you do not have to disclose any personal information. However failure to provide the information requested by CHOOKS may result in CHOOKS being unable to provide you with upcoming product information, promotional material, marketing materials, electronic newsletters or provide you with certain services including sales of products.

4.1 CHOOKS may share personal information within the CHOOKS Group or with the CHOOKS fresh and tasty franchisees.

If you do not wish to receive these emails and notify us of this, we will not send them to you. CHOOKS may, occasionally, contact you on behalf of external business partners of CHOOKS about a particular marketing and promotional offer or information that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your personal information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party.
4.3 Companies engaged by CHOOKS may have access to personal information if that information is needed to perform its functions. These companies may be engaged by CHOOKS to perform functions such as administrating and providing technical support for our website(s), assisting with promotions or assisting with the operation of the CHOOKS Club. 5.1 We collect only limited personal information from children (such as name, gender, date of birth, e-mail address, telephone number and postcode) in order to allow them to become members of the CHOOKS Club. We may ask a child to provide an email address of their parent so we can notify the parent or seek consent. Where CHOOKS is aware that a child is under the age of 12, CHOOKS will not admit that child as a CHOOKS Club member without the consent of a parent.
5.2 Personal information collected from children is used soley by CHOOKS. This personal information is not sold or transferred to third parties.
5.3 We recommend parents’ monitor their children’s computer activities.
6. Security of personal information
6.1 CHOOKS takes all reasonable precautions to protect our users' information. This information is stored on in a controlled, secure environment.
6.2 When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Web sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
6.3 CHOOKS will not be held responsible for events arising out of unauthorised access to personal information.
6.4 We will preserve the contents of any e-mail message that you send us if we believe that CHOOKS are routinely monitored for quality control, systems administration and legal compliance purposes.
